Russett School

This section is based at The Russett School, a school for children with
learning difficulties. All the members of this section are pupils at
the school. The Section leader is Cyndy Lloyd and Assistant Leader is Sue
Marsden.

Special Scouts have been members of 1st Weaverham Sea scouts since 1998.
Membership is open to boys or girls, within the age range of six to nineteen
although the current membership are all scout/explorer age.

The section have devised their own Promise using British Sign Language and
all members of the Sea Scout Group are encouraged to learn it.

Since the introduction of the new programme, the Special scouts are able to
earn the same badges as the rest of the group.
